ETD successfully hosted a 3-Day Conference on ‘Power Plant Operation & Flexibility’ in July 2018 at The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3), London.

The overall aim of this Conference was to provide an international forum for the exchange of knowledge, information, experience and data where possible. Hence plant owners and operators were the prime audience in this conference. It also attracted several researchers, plant manufacturers and inspection bodies. The underlying aim was ‘how to reduce costs associated with plant maintenance and cycling’. Key aspects were engineering design and materials R&D, cost analysis and plant management/ maintenance.

Dr Malgorzata Wiatros-Motyka of IEA Clean Coal Centre, UK, shared her highlights from the Conference and posted them on the IEA Clean Coal Centre website. To see her thoughts, please click here.
