FREE online Webinar on Power Plant Flexibility Project: Technical and Cost Issues – Tuesday 28th January, 8 am (UK time)
Conventional Coal-Fired (CCF) and Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant flexible operation has been a hot issue for some time due to the increasing intervention of the Renewables. The damage due to the cyclic operation of power plants and costs involved in cold, warm, hot starts and load following needs to be understood properly. Also, we need to understand what modifications to make to a plant before it goes into enhanced cyclic operation so that the damage and costs involved can be minimised.
ETD has now started a large project for a group of power utilities to study: a) Technical issues, and b) the effect on the O&M Cost of cycling and load following operations.
For cost collection and analyses we have issued two Questionnaires (one each for the CCF and CCGT plants) for any utility interested in participating in the cost analysis part of this project.
You are invited to participate free of cost in return for getting the comparison of your O&M costs and plant performance with other similar plants in our database thus enabling you to Benchmark your plant(s) against other similar plants (ETD has a database of about 100 plants from its earlier projects on plant flexibility) and to help you understand how your plant O&M costs will be affected when you go into enhanced power plant cycling.
To read further information and access the two Questionnaires please click on this link Conventional power and CCGT Plant cycling costs.
(The link will show you the two Questionnaires embedded near the bottom of the main text)
To register for the Webinar, please send us your name, position in the company (optional), and your organisation name at the following email address: enquiries@etd-consulting.com, the Teams Meeting link will be sent as soon as we hear from you.
